The Culture & Employee Engagement Team is responsible for driving a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture that aligns with the credit union’s purpose, impact, and core values. This team oversees company culture, employee engagement, long term onboarding, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to contribute their best work. The Culture & Employee Engagement team will collaborate with executive leadership, HR, and other stakeholders to implement strategies that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.

Employee Resource Groups

Asian American Pacific Islander ERG

To foster an inclusive and empowering space for AAPI employees by celebrating cultural diversity, amplifying voices, and building community through awareness, advocacy, and psychological safety.

Black/African American ERG  

To bring together Black/African American colleagues and allies to educate, expand, and excel within HVCU and its service to the community.

To unite people with disabilities, their caregivers, and their allies to participate in and build community, to educate and be educated, and to build brighter futures for people with disabilities within our HVCU community. 

Book Club

In partnership with the ERGs, our HVSeeU Book Club series is the talk of the organization. We partner with our ERGs to select the book, and deliver it straight to you. We cover the cost of your book, apps, and non-alcoholic drinks - there is no cost for you to participate. Just bring yourself!

Foundations & Futures ERG  

Our Employee Resource Group (ERG) for Emerging and Seasoned Professionals is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages knowledge sharing, mentorship, and professional growth. By bridging the gap between experience levels, we aim to empower employees at all stages of their careers through networking opportunities, skill-building, and leadership development.

To foster an inclusive environment where all people thrive together. We strive to empower Hispanic/Latino individuals by providing resources, support, and opportunities for financial equity. Through partnership and collaboration, we aim to build a bridge between our cultures and financial freedom.

The Parents ERG fosters an inclusive, supportive community that empowers members to thrive both personally and professionally. Through advocacy, resources, and connection, we champion flexibility, understanding, and a workplace culture that values caregiving.

To enrich the lives of Veterans through Service, Opportunity, and Purpose by partnering with community organizations and initiatives, we will serve as a conduit to help fulfil their mission in providing our Veterans with the tools and resources necessary to thrive.
